I'm feeling very depressed and disgusted right now from thinking of the millions of horrendous things us humans do to our beautiful planet and all our fellow inhabitants. We are totally out of touch with nature and are selfish and greedy and cruel. We think that the earth and all the animals and plants are here just for us to do with as we please. Animals don't destroy their own home for money, they don't enslave and torture other species for entertainment or food or science. No single species is supposed to take over the planet, every other animal has a natural predator and they stay balanced (or would, if we weren't here wiping them all out), but we keep multiplying and multiplying and taking up more and more space, we're like fleas or something.

And it's awful how most of what we've done is irreversible,

and most people don't care one little bit... Sigh...

Dairy farms are nice places where cows are happy and run free in green pastures, right? Wrong, well all but a rare few. Most dairy cows and egg laying hens are just about as happy as animals in meat farms. Plus the human body was never meant to consume another creature's milk, and that is most likely why a lot of people's stomachs don't care for dairy.

I have been a lacto-ovo vegetarian (eating dairy and eggs, but no meat) for about two years now, and I finally decided to try to make the switch to vegan. I am doing it slowly for now as most of my family (whom I live with) are omnivores, and that makes it a little hard, but small steps are fine.

Anyway, I have been searching the internet for vegan recipes to try and I found PETA's VegCooking.com. It looks quite good, so I thought I would share it with you. Enjoy!
