Sock Fashion

Here is another addition to my Barbies' wardrobe. It is a tube dress made out of a sock. It can also be worn as a skirt! The removable belt is made out of some adorable purple polka dot ribbon and is adorned with a little heart shaped button. The belt ties in a bow on the back. With a matching polka dot hair ribbon and heels Barbie is ready to go out!

A beauty shot to show of her hair accessory. Isn't she pretty?

The dress! It looks comfy, but cute and can be
very versatile. What a great way to recycle a sock!

Perfectly matching heels complete the outfit.

An Anti-Fur Pixel Doll

The fur industry is a horrible thing. Foxes, minks, rabbits, even cats and dogs are inhumanely killed for their fur. I never have, and never will buy any real fur, and will never get anything made out of leather again. Anyways, here is a little pixel doll I made showing that you should love animals and not wear them. Below is a larger version of the her fox friend.

Base is by the lovely Doll On The Hill Factory.
The fox was made entirely by me. I used a photo for reference.
Please do not steal my work.

Black iPod Case Cat

I made this iPod case for my sister's Nano. It is made out of black fleece.

The ears and face are made out of black and yellow felt. I drew the pupils on the eyes with a sharpie because they were so tiny. It wears a big red silk bow on it's neck.

The tail and tummy have small pieces of velcro on them
so the tail can attach to the tummy and hold the iPod inside.

Extinction Is Forever

(Photograph from MFBRP) The Pou'ouli bird (left) is extinct.

What most people don't know about extinction:

Up to 30,000 species per year are going extinct: three per hour. 50 percent of all primates and 100 percent of all great apes are threatened with extinction. Three of the world's eight tiger subspecies became extinct in the past 60 years; the remaining five are all endangered. Humans have already driven 20 percent of all birds extinct. 12 percent of mammals, 12 percent of birds, 31 percent of reptiles, 30 percent of amphibians, and 37 percent of fish are threatened with extinction.

"Polluted water can be cleaned up and trees can be replanted, but extinction is forever." -The Center For Biological Diversity.

If you can, you can help The Center For Biological Diversity create an advertisement to spread the word about extinction by donating.

A Few Ways To Help Our Furry Friends

(Photograph by biketrash69)

Want to help the other creatures that we share (well... actually we don't because we are destroying their homes and trying to make them all extinct so we have the planet all for our greedy selves) our planet with? Here are some easy things you can do.

Help give these tiny bundles of fur a second chance at life.

Urge Interior Secretary Ken Salazar to ensure the survival of this magnificent animal.

Siamese iPod Case Cat

This is the case I made for my new iPod Touch.
It is a little Siamese cat made out of soft cream colored fleece.

It's face, ears, and tail are made out of chocolate brown and sky blue felt.

And there are two blue silk ribbons on the bottom to keep it shut and hold the iPod in. I like the way the bow looks like it is tied to the cat's tail. I am planning to make one for my sister and friend's iPods soon too.

Indian Pixel Doll

I just finished her a little while ago! I was inspired by Indian clothing and the beautiful palette I found on Doll On The Hill. She is my favorite doll I have made so far! I'm really excited with the way she turned out. I guess that wrist pain was worth it!

Base is from the lovely Amarylis.
No stealing please!

Couture Cinderella Pixel Doll

Here is a little doll I made this morning. I wasn't sure what she was going to be at first, but she ended up being a couture Cinderella! I gave her a super simple face because her head is so itty bitty. I think it looks cute this way though.

The base is from the amazing Doll On The Hill Factory.
Please do not steal!

Lotus Girl Pixel Doll

I felt like dolling again randomly today so voila, a new pixel doll! I guess she is some sort of pond or lotus spirit or something... She was tool shaded on Photoshop.

The beautiful base was made by one of my favorite dollers, Amarylis. I worked hard on this so please do not steal!

Another Barbie Portrait

An up close shot of a ballet Barbie doll. (She modeled my handmade ballet skirt)

And her pretty pink pointe shoes. As you can see they are awful to tie... Such tiny ribbons!
